Capabilities That Deliver Precision and Performance
At NMF, we design and build rolls with precision and durability in mind, analyzing every design for deflection, flow rate, and thermal efficiency to ensure top‑tier performance. Our team can restore worn rolls by hard‑surfacing with 420 stainless steel overlay, bringing them back to like‑new condition. We grind rolls up to 65″ in diameter and 300″ between centers, achieving tolerances as tight as .0003″–.0005″ TIR and straightness.

Chromium Plating
We operate two dedicated hard chromium plating tanks, giving us the ability to plate, finish, and refinish rolls up to 107″ long and 36″ in diameter, as well as smaller rolls up to 18″ in diameter. Our surface finish options range from a 0–5 Ra optical mirror polish to a 250 Ra controlled NATMatte, and we can match existing finishes to maintain consistency across your equipment. From targeted acid cleaning of hot spots to comprehensive preventive maintenance flushes, NMF delivers precision, reliability, and craftsmanship you can count on every time.
